UK signs deal with Pakistan to deport criminals

LONDON: The United Kingdom and Pakistan have inked a deal, which could have major consequences on the future of many local politicians, to send back the criminals and offenders to Pakistan.

UK Home Secretary  Priti Patel took to Twitter to announce the latest development. She wrote: “I’m proud to have signed a new landmark agreement with our Pakistani friends to return foreign criminals and immigration offenders from the UK to Pakistan.”

It is pertinent to mention here that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has been convicted of acquiring assets beyond means by the Supreme Court. This new development could have legal repercussions for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supremo who has been in London for the past three years or so.
