QUETTA: In another fire incident by unidentified armed men, three coal miners lost their lives in the Zalawan area, Harnai in Balochistan on Sunday.
According to the Balochistan Levies, the unidentified armed men opened fire on the coalmine workers in early morning, killing three of them instantly.
As for the identification of the deceased, there have been conflicting reports circulating in media. While some of them have reported that the victims were yet to be identified, some media outlets are reporting that they belonged to Kandahar, Afghanistan.
According to the Levies, the bodies of the victims have been transferred to a hospital.
This is not the first time the coal miners have been shot dead in Balochistan. They are often targetted by unknown assailants, leaving the workers more vulnerable to attacks of such deadly nature.
