DUBAI: After consecutive defeats at the ongoing T20 World Cup against Pakistan and New Zealand, India are at the brink of elimination from the group stage. India’s leading pacer Jasprit Bumrah has blamed the ‘bubble fatigue’ for the team’s dismal performance.
When asked whether playing extensive cricket was the reason for poor outing, the star bowler said that team was struggling due to the bio-bubble fatigue.
“Absolutely, sometimes you need a break. You miss your family. You have been on the road for six months. So all of that sometimes play on the back of your mind. But when you are on the field, you do not think of all those things. Obviously, staying in a bubble and staying away from your family for such a long period of time does play a role.”
India is at the fifth spot in Group-II after losing to New Zealand last night. Their tournament is all but over virtually.
