Tarar calls PTI’s attempts of getting GSP+ status withdrawn an “attack” on Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Responding to the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s attempts of getting the GSP+ status withdrawn by the European Union, Information Minister Ataullah Tarar has said that the PTI was directly “attacking” Pakistan.

Speaking to the media here, he said that Pakistan’s current GSP+ status would allow it to have some breathing space economically as it could help the country deal with the ever-rising inflation. He said that the status could help the Pakistanis with many employment opportunities.

Tarar said that the PTI’s request to the European Union to consider revoking Pakistan’s status as GSP+ was a direct attack on the country and could make the lives of the poor a lot more difficult. He said that it was a conspiracy plotted and hatched by the PTI to destroy the country.
