Talks with Pakistan govt yet to reach conclusion, says TTP chief

Speaking to a YouTuber in an interview, the banned outfit Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan’s chief Mufti Noor Wali Mehsud said that the talks with the Pakistani government were yet to reach a definite conclusion. His comments come on the back of the indefinite ceasefire announcement by the proscribed outfit.

According to several news reports in the media, Corps Commander Peshawar Lt Gen Faiz Hameed is leading the negotiations from the Pakistani side with the TTP. Meanwhile, the TTP has refused to give up its demand of reversal of former FATA with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah had clearly refused to roll back the amendments made in the Constitution in 2018 that saw FATA being merged with KP.
