Taliban destroy 3,000 litres of liquor in Kabul

Kabul

KABUL: A video footage was released by the General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI) here on Saturday which showed a team of Afghan intelligence agents destroying thousands of litres of liquor seized in a raid.

The Taliban regime has been actively conducting raids, hoping to seize liquor and drugs. The sale of liquor was banned under the Ashraf Ghani regime as well, but operations against the sellers have increased manifold ever since the Taliban took hold of the country.

According to a statement shared by the GDI, three dealers were arrested in the raid and 3000 litres of liquor stored in barrels was poured into Kabul canal.

In the video, one of the agents can be seen stating that Muslims should refrain from delivering and making alcohol.
