Supreme Court approves bail of Zahir Jaffer’s mother

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has approved the bail of Asmat Adamjee, mother of prime suspect Zahir Jaffer, in the Noor Mukadam murder case. The bail is granted against a surety bond of Rs.1 million.

According to Justice Umar Ata Bandial, there was a lack of evidence against Adamjee. However, Advocate General Niazullah Khan Niazi highlighted that Asmat Adamjee made 11 phone calls, record of which was also available. The court has also ordered the prosecution to submit evidence against her.

Justice Bandial has also ordered the authorities to investigate as to why instead of police, employees of Therapy Works were called at the crime scene.
On the other hand, the bail plea of Zakir Jaffer, the father of Zahir Jaffer, was rejected. Last week the court indicted 12 suspects, including employees of Therapy Works and parents of Zahir Jaffer in connection with the murder.
