KARACHI: On Friday, the benchmark KSE-100 index showed a bullish trend as it crossed the 43,000 points mark after gaining 141 points. Earlier on Thursday, the index closed at 42,901.27 points. As per the reports, the index has reached 43,042 points.
Market analysts believe that the news of the $13 billion package to Pakistan from Saudi Arabia has created confidence in investors. The federal government is also hopeful for sovereign loans from China. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently visited China and met the top leadership.
China is expected to provide $4 billion in sovereign loans and an additional $3.3 billion to refinance commercial bank loans.
