According to news reports by Australian media, the Aussie cricketing legend Shane Warne died at 52 on Friday. The news comes from Thailand, where according to the statement released by Warne’s management, he was found unresponsive.
“Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived,” reads the statement. The media reported that Warne died of a ‘suspected heart attack’.
Another Australian legend Rodney Marsh had passed away earlier today, following which the Australian team wore black arm bands in his memory while playing against Pakistan.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam paid tribute to Warne in a tweet and said that he’d forever be missed.
Find it hard to believe. Such a devastating loss for the cricket world. He literally inspired generations with his magical leg spin. You'll forever be missed #ShaneWarne. My heart and prayers goes to his family, friends, and fans. #legend pic.twitter.com/pigrD785gC
