In a huge blow to the country’s judicial system, the Supreme Court has decided to acquit the murderer Shahrukh Jatoi along with his accomplices in the Shazeb Khan murder case. Jatoi had murdered Khan in cold-blood in December 2012.
Justice Ijazul Ahsan was leading the three-judge bench that heard the case and subsequently acquitted Jatoi. Jatoi had been handed a death penalty by the Anti-Terrorism Court in 2012, however, was “pardoned” by the victim’s family.
Rumours have been rife that Khan’s family was coerced into accepting the Diyat. The social media is abuzz with people expressing their anger and frustrations at the lack of justice for the common man in Pakistan.
Shahrukh Jatoi’ acquittal proves that it is almost impossible to convict the elite in Pakistan. Who’s next now? Zahir Jaffar? Shahnawaz Amir?

A shame for justice, disgrace to the ideology of Justice, as Supreme Court acquits Shahrukh Jatoi in Shahzaib Murder case. 😔

Disappointed about Shahrukh Jatoi’s acquittal by Supreme Court. The rich and powerful really can’t do any wrong in this country. Whatever the technical reasons for this acquittal, it doesn’t reflect well on state of our criminal justice system. Common man will lose further hope.

Justice delayed is Justice served
From death penalty > life imprisonment > total acquittal
Salam hai hamari Judiciary par
No wonder the petty criminals rot in Jail — while Avenfields & BIlawal House dynasties ensure Pakistan prospers to Dizzying Heights https://t.co/9Yz1XgeqU0

What a travesty of justice.
Shahrukh Jatoi murdered Shahzeb Khan who was trying to protect his sister. Shot him multiple times to ensure he is dead. For 10 years the case was dragged while Shahrukh was protected & lived a lavish life. Today he walks free.
Congratulations to all https://t.co/bLKICl8vUF
