Scotland progress to Super 12

OMAN: Scotland defeated Oman by eight wickets on Thursday and have progressed to the Super 12 round of the World T20.

Oman, while batting first, were bowled out for a meager 122. Aqib Ilyas scored 37 runs, while Zeeshan Maqsood managed to accumulate 34 runs. Josh Davy took three wickets and contributed heavily to restrict Oman to a small total. Sufyan Shareen and Micheal Lasik took two wickets each.

It proved to be a smooth sailing for Scotland who achieved the target, losing only two wickets in the process. Scottish captain Kayl Coetzer scored a match-winning 41. Richi Barrington contributed with 31 runs.

Scotland have now progressed in Group B, where they will face Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Afghanistan.
