KARACHI: One of the most prestigious names in technology, Samsung Electronics’ television line-up plant has started production here. The tech giant has partnered with R&R Industries to initiate the manufacturing.
Commerce Adviser Razak Dawood made the announcement on his Twitter handle where he shared the pictures of the plant and congratulated Samsung on successfully setting up a TV line-up plant.
The plant aims to manufacture 50,000 units in the first phase and in two years increase the production to 10,000 TV sets.
He further added that the plant production of Samsung was following the Ministry of Commerce’s Make-in-Pakistan policy. It is estimated that the production will generate 700 jobs in Pakistan and a revenue of Rs5 billion annually.
