KARACHI: With dollar gaining strength in the international market, the local currency has witnessed a decline of Rs1.1 in value in the interbank market. The rupee lost value after recording gains for three days.
Dollar is currently trading at Rs219.7, with experts suggesting that the rupee’s value will appreciate in the next few days. Some analysts have been predicting that the dollar’s value will come down to Rs200 in the forthcoming days.
However, the devastating floods have wreaked havocs on Pakistan’s infrastructure and economy and it is yet to see whether the rupee’s value will take any further hit.
