KARACHI: The local currency is currently on a recovery from the battering it took at the hands of dollar. Pakistani rupee gained a further Rs4.6 in interbank earlier today.
Rupee had made significant recovery yesterday gaining over Rs9 in value – marking the highest recovery it has made against the US dollar in a single day. Dollar is currently trading at Rs224.2 in the interbank market.
The lowering prices are being attributed to lower import bills for the month of July and August, the positive signals for release of tranche by IMF, and the financial grants by friendly countries.
