Mohammad Rizwan and Shoaib Malik declared fit after fever scare

DUBAI: Pakistan Cricket Board has announced in a press release that Mohammad Rizwan and Shoaib Malik have been declared fit to play against Australia in the semifinal. The decision was made by the PCB’s medical panel after the two players cleared their fitness tests on Tuesday.

Pakistan were faced with a challenge on the eve of the semifinal against Australia. Their star opening batter Rizwan and reliable middle order batter Malik were suffering from flu and fever.

The social media was abuzz with the rumours of both of them testing positive for Covid. The Upcut spoke to one of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s officials who said that both of them had tested negative but were rested because they had temperature and flu.

Rizwan and Malik have played a key role in Pakistan’s wins in group stages.
