PPP leadership on different page regarding registration of Madina cases in Pakistan

SUKKUR: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led coalition government faces a challenge from within the ranks as the Pakistan Peoples Party leadership has publicly denounced the decision of the government to register cases regarding the Madina incident in Pakistan.

Federal Minister for Water Resources Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has stated that the Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan should revisit his decision of registering cases against the PTI leadership in Pakistan. He said that action was only needed against the people involved in the incident and those who bypassed it in Pakistan.

He also said that the PPP leadership had no objection to former prime minister Imran Khan bringing out “millions of people” on the streets as it was his democratic right to protest. He also forewarned the Shehbaz Sharif administration to take the PPP into confidence before issuing and taking any stance on the PTI’s decision to hold long marches.

Sanaullah’s decision of launching cases against the PTI leadership for raising anti-government slogans in Madina has been criticised by one and all, with several political leaders and analysts calling the decision akin to instigating the common man to take law in his own hands.
