PM Shehbaz lays blame on PTI govt for increased terrorism

LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the failure of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government to implement the National Action Plan (NAP) had surged terrorist activities all across the country.

He reiterated his commitment to ensure that all provinces would be made part of the plan again. The NAP was first devised in the aftermath of the unfortunate APS School attack in December 2014.

The country has seen an uptick in the number of terrorist activities since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan last year in August. Some security experts attribute the poor law and order situation to geopolitical uncertainty in the region.
