PM Imran Khan calls NSC meeting today

ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry tweeted here on Thursday that Prime Minister Imran Khan had summoned a meeting of the National Security Committee today in afternoon at the PM House.

The prime minister has been under tremendous pressure from the opposition over the no-confidence vote and faces a certain defeat since his government’s main coalition partner – Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) decided to join hands with the opposition.

According to rumours, the prime minister is mulling over the idea of stepping down and calling in early general elections in a bid to stop the opposition from going forward with the no-confidence voting.
