Earlier, in a surprising turn of events on the day the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s fate was to be decided, the National Assembly Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri dismissed the no-confidence motion filed by the opposition.
The NA Speaker made the ruling under the Article 5 of the Constitution. Fawad Chaudhry stated at the beginning of the session that a conspiracy was being hatched by foreign powers against the sitting government.
