ISLAMABAD: On Tuesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the government employees’ housing scheme that will have 28,000 houses. The prime minister applauded the housing ministry and said that by 2022, the majority of housing units will be completed.
During the inaugural ceremony of PHA Officers Residencia Islamabad, the prime minister said that 30 industries were related to the construction sector which has the potential to boost Pakistan’s economy.
He added that despite the super commodity affecting cement and steel sales, the construction business has shown good growth in the last two years due to the governmental policies. He also highlighted that agriculture and corporate sectors have also bloomed.
Mr Khan acknowledged that people on salaries have suffered, but the subsidies have helped them to purchase and construct their own property.
