The petroleum prices are expected to drop in the second half of March 2024 as the international petroleum prices have noticed a downward trajectory of late. The government is expected to make the announcement of price reduction tomorrow.
According to latest reports, the price of petrol is expected to drop by Rs5 per liter, taking the price to Rs274.61/ltr. The expected price of diesel will be Rs283.12 after a reduction of Rs4.81 per litre. The new prices will be implemented from March 16, 2024.
The federal government has already decided to undertake long-term measures to offer economic relief to the masses and introduce poverty alleviation programs.
