ISLAMABAD: On Tuesday, the President of the Pakistan Democratic Movement Maulana Fazlur Rehman announced that he had shifted his rally dates from March 24 to March 25 (Friday).
According to his statement, the plan was changed due to the meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC). The conference will be attended by foreign ministers of different Islamic states. Maulana said that they did not intend to cause any inconvenience to the foreign delegations.
Earlier, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, President Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q), appealed to the opposition and the incumbent government to put the national interest first and cancel the rallies and public gatherings.
Regarding the ties between the government and their allies, Maulana said the relationship between PTI and allied parties was broken and soon all supporting parties would announce their vote for the opposition.
