PDM government reduces petrol prices

The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) government has announced to reduce petroleum products’ prices for the second time in a row. Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar made the announcement in a video statement.

Ishaq Dar said that there has been no reduction in prices at the global market and the value of the rupee is also not improving against the US dollar. However, the government decided to provide relief to public.

New Petroleum Prices

The finance minister said that from June 1, the price of diesel will be reduced by Rs. 5, decreasing the total price to Rs. 253 per litre. Similarly, the price of petrol will be reduced by Rs. 8 reducing the price from Rs 270 to Rs 262 per litre.

The price of light diesel has been reduced to Rs 147.68 per litre after a deduction of Rs 5. The new price of High-Speed ​​Diesel has also been reduced to Rs 253 per litre.

Ishaq Dar said that there is no change in the price of kerosene and would remain stable at Rs 164.60 per litre.

Note that earlier on May 15, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced to reduce the price of petrol by Rs 12 per litre.
