Pakistan to host ICC Champions Trophy 2025

LAHORE: Pakistan’s men’s cricket team will defend their ICC Champions Trophy title at home as the International Cricket Council has scheduled the global event to be played here in 2025.

Cricket’s governing body took to Twitter to announce that 12 different nations will host eight tournaments during the 2024-2031 events cycle.

With the announcement, the ICC Champions Trophy officially makes a comeback which had previously been scrapped. Pakistan are the current ICC Champions Trophy holders. They beat their arch rivals India in a one-sided final back in 2017 at The Oval.

According to the announcement by the ICC, four T20 World Cups, two Champions Trophies, and two 50-over World Cups are scheduled to be played during the 2024-2031 cycle.
