Pakistan reports 6,047 Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has tweeted the Covid-19 stats in Pakistan for the last 24 hours. The medical authorities conducted 61,190 tests, 6,047 of which turned out to be positive. The positivity ratio remained under 10 per cent (9.9pc) for the second consecutive day.

Punjab once again reported the most number of cases with 1,895 followed by Sindh which reported 1,522 Covid-19 cases. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stayed right Sindh behind with 1,441 cases. Islamabad reported 575 cases and Azad Jammu and Kashmir reported 466. Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan collectively reported 118 cases.

During the said period, 29 people lost their lives while battling with coronavirus. Meanwhile, 32 people had lost their lives yesterday recording the highest death toll since October 6 last year. Currently, 1,559 patients are under critical care across the country.
