Pakistan reports 32 deaths during last 24 hours; 5,327 new cases recorded

ISLAMABAD: In the last 24 hours, 32 people have died due to the coronavirus. The death toll is highest since October 6 when 46 patients died due to the deadly virus.

Pakistan has witnessed a decline in Covid-19 cases as the positivity ratio dropped slightly to 9.7 per cent from yesterday’s 11.53pc. According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 55,202 tests were conducted, resulting in 5,327 positive cases.

Punjab reported the most number of cases with 1,894 followed by Sindh with 1,477. Islamabad witnessed 932 cases, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reported 721 Covid-19 cases. Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir collectively reported 303 cases.

In terms of the death toll, Punjab reported the most fatalities, with 16 along with Sindh reporting eight deaths. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir reported seven casualties.
