CHITTAGONG: It did not take Hasan Ali long to break Bangladesh’s fifth-wicket 206-run stand as he got Litton Das trapped LBW with the batter adding just one run to his overnight score. Pakistan got the start they wanted and did not look back as they kept chipping away with wickets, ensuring that Bangladesh did not run away with the show.
Bangladesh got bowled out for 330 with Hasan Ali picking up his fifth 5-wicket haul in Tests this year since his comeback from the injury. Pakistan, in reply, came out to bat with a solid intent and did not play any rash shot to give Bangladesh an opening.
Pakistan, though, were lucky as Bangladesh could have broken the first wicket stand but couldn’t when they decided to not review a plumb LBW call against Abdullah Shafique, who was making his debut.
The two Pakistan batters, Abid Ali and Abdullah Shafique, are currently playing at 93* and 52*. Pakistan currently trail by 185 runs.
