LAHORE: Pakistan men’s cricket team has departed for Dubai to participate in World T20, starting from October 23 in the United Arab Emirates. The bowling consultant for the World T20, former South African Test cricketer Vernon Philander was also travelling with the team.

Former Australian Test cricketer Matthew Hayden, Pakistan’s batting consultant, will join the team in Dubai. The squad participated in the final training session on Thursday at Gaddafi Stadium where they did net sessions under the supervision of temporary head coach Saqlain Mushtaq.

Pakistan will start their World T20 campaign against the arch rivals India. Pakistan captain Babar Azam had said in a press conference that Pakistan feels ‘added pressure’ in games against India at World Cups. It is pertinent to mention here that the green shirts are yet to beat India in World Cups, both ODIs and T20Is.
