FAISALABAD: Two major parties of the opposition – Pakistan Mulsim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) were lambasted by Prime Minister Imran Khan here on Wednesday while he was addressing the public at the launching ceremony of health card.

The prime minister claimed that the opposition parties were scared of him because they feared that he would throw them behind the bars. Mr Khan also said that it was because of that very reason that the leaders of the two parties wanted him ousted from power, adding that they wanted to avoid going to jail.

Mr Khan also took a swipe at a judge without naming anyone, stating that a judge was playing by the rules of the opposition by adjourning the corruption related cases on their request. He added that one day the cases would be heard and the corrupt elements would be brought to justice.

Speaking about how countries could be weakened faster, Mr Khan said that it was a lot easier to make corruption a generally accepted idea rather than bombing it. Referring to strong countries with proper law and system in place, Mr Khan cited the example of Novac Djokovic who was denied entry in Australia despite being the number one Tennis player because he was not vaccinated.
