ISLAMABAD: Key suspect in the high profile Noor Mukadam murder case, Zahir Jaffer has accused the victim’s family of framing him for her murder. Rejecting the accusations levelled against him, Zahir went on to say that the victim’s family was doing so in order to ‘fleece his rich family for money’.
Zahir has submitted a written statement to the court in which he has denied murdering Noor and instead levelled several accusations against Shaukat Mukadam – the victim’s father and Noor Mukadam – the victim herself. He also submitted a USB, news clips, and medical reports.
He once again reiterated that him and Noor were in a consensual relationship. He accused the victim’s father and the state machinery for hiding facts in order to get him hanged. He said that the authorities were trying to cover up Noor’s friends who the victim had allegedly invited over for a drug party.
He also submitted medical reports from the US and Pakistan to show that he has been treated for drugs’ usage in the past. According to Zahir, Noor’s family was building up the case against him to get money out of his rich family.
