Met Office predicts heavy rainfall and hailstorm in Pakistan from Tuesday

The meteorological department has predicted heavy rainfall and hailstorm from Tuesday (28 March 2023) in most parts of the country. The weather forecaster also said that mountainous regions would experience snowfall. Cold weather has once again taken over most areas of Pakistan after the recent series of rainfall and hailstorms. 

In view of the upcoming weather situation warning for flooding has been issued in different cities of Balochistan like Quetta, Chaman, Pashin and Barkhan. Flood situations could also occur in the rivers of Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Nowshera, Mardan, Waziristan and Bajaur.

The meteorological department has also expressed the fear of landslides in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Murree and Goliat. The met office has predicted rainfall in most cities of Sindh and Punjab.

Last 24 hours situation

During the last 24 hours, the weather remained dry in most parts of the country. However, there was rain in Parachinar, Murree, and Rawalkot.

Meanwhile, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at 36 degrees Celsius in Shaheed Benazirabad, Skarund, Hyderabad, Mithi and Tando Jam.
