LAHORE: Singer Meesha Shafi has requested the court for a cross-examination through a video link as attending the hearing physically is not a viable option for her.
On behalf of Shafi, Advocate Saqib Jillani filed the application stating that she and her husband reside in Canada which is why it was not possible for her to physically appear in the court.
The court has also issued a notice to Ali Zafar, soliciting his response on the application. The pop star has till Oct 25 to submit his reply.
Zafar had filed a defamation lawsuit of Rs.1 billion against Shafi when she accused him of sexual harassment in 2018.
