Madad Ali Sindhi aim to improve education quality

KARACHI: On Sunday, the Caretaker Minister for Education, Madad Ali Sindhi, took a vow to bring the educational system of Pakistan on track and evaluate the ability of teachers.

During his visit to the Karachi Press Club (KPC), the minister said to cross-check the ability of the teachers and the overall quality of education in the educational institutions, including the universities. He added that a grand provincial meeting has been called to discuss the matters of education and improve the educational quality. According to the caretaker minister, the 18th Amendment to the Constitution has made education a provincial subject.

On the fee issues in private schools, Madad Ali Sindhi commented that the fees of the private schools must be reasonable. He also talked about the crisis in Federal Urdu Unive­rsity. Madad Ali added that he is aware that several employees of the university are not receiving monthly pensions.

He also talked about the financial crisis of journalists and proposed that the caretaker government should initiate ‘Guzara Allownce’ for journalists with 20 years of service at media outlets and now facing unemployment or retirement. The education minister also promised to provide scholarships to the children of the journalist community.
