KARACHI: On Monday, the Pakistan Stock Exchange started the week with a downward trend as the KSE-100 index lost over 600 points during the early hour trade. The benchmark index lost 1.53 per cent or 652.13 points and reached 41,939.38 points by 10:46 AM.
According to the Head of Research at Intermarket Securities Raza Jafri, the performance of equities on the global level has affected the KSE-100 index. He said that the US markets dropped by 3 per cent on Friday and the Asian markets declined sharply today.
Raza added that recent floods and political situation had also disturbed the market.
