JUI-F desires to be part of PDM 2.0

JUI-F contacts PML-N to join government

After bombarding the former army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and members of PDM with allegations of conspiracy to oust the PTI government, the Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) probably had a mood swing as they showed the will to join PDM 2.0 for a coalition government.

A delegation of JUI-F led by Central Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri met with PML-N senior leader Ishaq Dar. Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri wished that JUI-F become part of the coalition government in Balochistan. However, Ishaq Dar turned down the notion and conveyed that PPP and PML-N have finalised the outline to form a government in the province.

As per the news reports, Dar said that PML-N wanted JUI-F to be part of the coalition, but now it’s too late. PML-N had made multiple efforts to contact JUI-F, but the latter remained rigid in their stance of rejecting the election’s results.

It is pertinent to mention that Maulana Fazl ur Rehman claimed that Qamar Javed Bajwa orchestrated the no-confidence motion against PTI founder Imran Khan in March 2022.

MQM demands ministries in federal cabinet

A delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) laid its demand in front of PML-N of three to four ministries in the federal cabinet. The MQM delegation comprised Kamran Tessori, Farooq Sattar and Mustafa Kamal whereas Ishaq Dar and Ayaz Sadiq represented the PML-N side.

MQM has also demanded to secure the legislation to empower the local government bodies. Meanwhile, MQM leadership said that PML-N has agreed to retain Kamran Tessori as governor of Sindh.

Earlier, MQM wanted the post of deputy speaker in the National Assembly. However, PML-N made it clear that the position has been given to PPP.
