India open to idea of touring Pakistan for Asia Cup in 2023

According to the Indian media, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly green lit the Pakistan tour for Asia Cup next year. The next Asia Cup is scheduled to be held in Pakistan.

The BCCI has stated that it would have no issues with playing in Pakistan if the Indian government allowed it to do so. It is pertinent to mention here that the Indian team last visited Pakistan in 2008.

Both countries have been a dagger’s drawn with bilateral cricket having come to a halt due to the infamous 2008 Mumbai attacks. The BCCI has shied away from hosting and playing against Pakistan in bilateral series since 2012.
