Imran Khan survives assassination attempt; moved to Lahore Shaukat Khanum

GUJRANWALA: The chief of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Imran Khan has survived an assassination attempt after a man allegedly named Faisal Butt opened fire at him. According to the footage available, Butt can be seen firing straight at Khan’s container.

While the attacker’s arms were aloft with his weapon aimed at Khan, a PTI worker intercepted him forcing him to fire at a different target. Punjab Police has arrested the suspect whereas Khan has been moved to Lahore to get treatment at Shaukat Khanum Hospital.

According to a tweet from the PTI’s official handle, Khan was shot at in the leg but his condition is stable.
