The Official Secrets Act Court has made an important move in the cipher case. Imran Khan has been arrested in the cipher case right after his Toshakhana sentence got suspended. After the arrest, Chairman PTI was sent to judicial remand till August 30.
Official Secret Act Court Judge Abul Hasanat Zul-Qarnain pronounced the decision, after which the Official Secret Act Court sent a written order to the Superintendent of Attock Jail. The court ordered Chairman PTI to appear before the court on August 30.
Earlier, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) suspended Imran Khan’s sentence in the Toshakhana case. The IHC announced the short verdict in which it directed to release of the PTI chief on bail.
IHC would release a detailed verdict later which would elaborate on the reasons for the suspension of the sentence. PTI chief submitted a surety bond of Rs100,000 against the bail. The verdict was a major legal victory for Khan who had challenged his conviction in the Toshakhana case.
