DUBAI: Pakistan’s left-arm lead pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has revealed that he aims to get wickets upfront with the new ball. According to a PCB press release, Shaheen said that it is difficult to control the new ball at the start of the innings.
“I aim to get wickets upfront. I practise specially to bowl with the new ball,” said Shaheen.
The Southpaw also revealed that he tries to pitch the ball up at the start in order to trouble the batters. “I adapt different strategies to bowl in different conditions,” says Shaheen.
He also said that he tries to set the fielding himself off his own bowling. “Whichever ball gets me a wicket becomes good in my dictionary – be it an inswinger or an outswinger,” adds Shaheen.
