Hundreds of animals die in Kenya’s life-threatening drought

Kenya is facing one of the most horrible droughts, resulting in the deaths of several animals. Eastern Africa has been under a drought for several decades. A report from the wildlife service unveiled that in the past nine months, 512 wild beasts, 205 elephants, 51 buffaloes, 250 zebras, and 12 giraffes died due to drought.

In the past two years, several parts of Kenya have received little to no rain. Local residents and livestock is struggling for survival. Around 15 lakh people in Eastern African states like Kenya, Ethiopia, and Somalia have left their homeland in search of water and food.

The jungles are turning into barren lands as there is no water to drink or leaves to feed animals.
