The intense heatwave gripping Karachi and much of Sindh showed no signs of abating on Tuesday, with daytime highs reaching 38°C and humidity soaring to 92 per cent. Karachi residents are expected to endure similar conditions throughout the week, with temperatures hovering between 37°C and 39°C and humidity levels remaining elevated, making the weather feel even warmer.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasts dry and sunny conditions for Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Sukkur, and Mithi. Hyderabad recorded a maximum of 42°C with 84pc humidity, while Thatta and Sukkur saw highs of 40°C and 39°C with humidity levels at 88pc and 83pc, respectively. In Mithi, temperatures climbed to 42°C with 84pc humidity, contributing to the region’s persistent heatwave.
Despite high temperatures during the day, Karachiites may experience relief by mid-November.
