Gun safety bill passed in US after hundreds and thousands of senseless killings

It took the United States Senate hundreds and thousands of senseless killings to pass the gun safety law after it directly went against the Supreme Court orders that declared it legal to carry handguns in public for the purpose of self defense.

The US has a rather bizarre obsession with handguns. The country has had its fair share of gun violence. However, despite the many killings, people, mostly the Republicans, have argued that they needed to carry handguns in public.

It is pertinent to mention here that the US has a serious school shootings problem. The country has lacked the leadership and the gall to ban carrying the firearms in public spaces. In a recent school shooting, 19 children lost their lives.

The move to ban the carrying of firearms in public spaces could go down as the best decision the US senate has taken in a long time.
