Four infants die due to fire-related incident in hospital in India

NEW DELHI: A newborn-care unit of a government hospital in central India caught fire due to which four infants lost their lives on Monday. According to the government officials, numerous people died this year in similar accidents.

Medical Education Minister Vishvas Kailash Sarang, while talking to the press, said that the surviving newborns were shifted to other wards for treatment.

“The other children are being treated.”

According to the stats, 70 people have died due to hospital-fire incidents only this year.
