Flights from eight countries banned by Hong Kong; Pakistan included in list

A two-week ban has been imposed on incoming flights in and by Hong Kong. Eight countries have been included in the list. India and Pakistan have been named among the countries from where the flights have been banned. The health authorities of Hong Kong have warned about the potential fifth wave of Covid in the country.

The list includes the United States, Britain, Philippines, France, Canada, Australia, Pakistan and India. The flight restrictions will be effective from January 8 till January 21.

The Leader of Honk Kong Carrie Lam has imposed a ban on museums, clubs, bars, sports complexes, cruise journeys, swimming pools, and indoor dining gatherings after 6:00 pm.
