Entire mobile tower stolen in bold heist in Larkana

In an extraordinary act of theft, a complete mobile tower belonging to a private telecommunications company has been stolen in the suburban area of Larkana. The incident occurred in Bhoonbhutpur village, Naudero, and has left local authorities and residents in shock.

The audacious heist was meticulously executed, with the thieves using cutters to methodically dismantle the mobile tower from top to bottom. In addition to the tower itself, the criminals also absconded with the iron main gate and other valuable equipment from the site.

The company had stationed two security guards to safeguard the installation. However, following the theft, the General Manager of the telecommunications company, Sajid Iqbal, filed a formal complaint at the Naudero Police Station. The complaint notably implicates the two guards responsible for the security of the tower.

“The company began receiving numerous complaints from customers about disruptions in mobile service. When our technical team went to inspect the site, they were stunned to find that the entire tower, along with its associated installations, had been stolen,” Iqbal stated.

This unprecedented theft has raised serious questions about the security measures in place and the possible involvement or negligence of the assigned security personnel. The local police are currently investigating the incident, and no arrests have been made as of now.

Local residents expressed their disbelief and concern over the boldness of the criminals. “It’s unbelievable that something of this scale could happen in our village. We hope the authorities will take swift action to apprehend those responsible,” one resident remarked.

The telecommunications company is working to restore service to affected customers while cooperating fully with the police investigation. This incident highlights the increasing audacity of criminal activities in the region and underscores the need for enhanced security measures to protect critical infrastructure.
