Egypt will open Rafah border crossing for wounded Palestinians

Egypt will treat Palestinians through Rafah border crossing

Egypt made arrangements for the treatment of wounded Palestinians who suffered from Israel’s cruel bombing on the Gaza strip. The wounded Gazans used the Rafah border crossing to receive medical treatment.

In a statement to AFP, a medical official of El Arish – Egypt said:
“Medical teams will be present on Wednesday at the crossing to examine the cases coming from Gaza as soon as they arrive. We will determine to which hospitals they should be sent”.

Israel continued the airstrikes on densely populated refugee camps in the Gaza Strip. The air attacks killed at least 50 more Palestinians. The medical team kept struggling to provide adequate treatment to the casualties in the enclave as it had a shortage of food, fuel and basic supplies. Palestinian health officials reported the death of 50 Palestinians and added that 150 got wounded.

Palestine also faced disconnection of internet services. On Wednesday, Palestine Telecommunication Company (Paltel) reported that Gaza has no access to the internet. In their post on messaging platform X, Paltel stated that due to international access being disconnected again the communications & internet services were completely cut off in the Gaza Strip.

Hazem Qassem, Hamas spokesperson, denied the presence of any senior commander in the camp. He termed the claims an Israeli pretext for killing civilians. On the other hand, Yemen’s Iran-backed Huthi rebels claimed to launch an attack on Israel. The rebels said they fired a large batch of ballistic missiles and a large number of armed aircraft.

Several states continued to break their diplomatic relations with Israel. On Tuesday, Bolivia dismantled their diplomatic ties with Israel because of its barbaric attacks on the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, Colombia & Chile recalled their ambassadors for consultations with the Middle Eastern country.

International news reports said that a large number of ambulances had gathered at the Rafah border crossing to attend to the wounded citizens of Palestine.
