KARACHI: The US dollar continues to gain strength against the Pakistani rupee. On Wednesday, the local currency dropped by 39 paisa. As a result, the dollar almost touched the 183 mark, closing at Rs182.71 in the interbank market.
The US dollar is being traded at Rs183.20 in the open market. The surge in the greenback is attributed to rising uncertain political conditions and delay in negotiation with International Monetary Fund for the seventh review regarding the $6 billion loan.
