KARACHI: The greenback has lost Rs1.27 in the interbank market here on Monday after the rupee made consecutive losses in three sessions. The US dollar is currently trading at Rs221.2 in the interbank market.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan, the rupee has made slight recovery of 0.57 per cent. The market experts have attributed the growth in rupee to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s upcoming visit to China where talks on trade are expected to be held between the leadership of the two countries.
The Pakistani rupee has had to bear the brunt of the political instability and has lost nearly Rs50 in value against the US dollar since the start of this year.
