KARACHI: On Tuesday, the rupee hit an all-time low as the greenback gained value in the interbank market during the early trade. The dollar swelled by 0.35 paisa, touching the value of Rs178.47.
The dollar is trading at Rs178.80 in the open market. According to traders, the last time the dollar hiked above Rs178 was in December, when it touched the value of Rs178.30. During the last four days, the dollar has gained over 60 paisa amid the rise in oil prices in the international market.
Earlier, the Pakistan Stock Exchange’s KSE-100 index lost 1,472 points as investors showed reservations over the trade conditions due to the current political scenarios and the Russia-Ukraine war.
