Death toll in Balochistan reaches 188 as six more drown in flash flood

On Saturday, six more people died in Balochistan after flash floods due to heavy rainfall. The incident occurred in the Killa Abdullah district where 12 people were swept by a flash flood.

Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmed Kakar said that six people were saved while the other six drowned. Until now, 188 people have passed away in rain-caused accidents.

Three dams got destroyed in flash floods and a rescue operation is underway to locate residents to a safer place. Travelling from the Quetta-Karachi highway has been suspended.

Lasbela, Killa Abdullah, Killa Saifullah and Khuzdar are affected by the disasters of rain. Authorities have imposed an emergency in 26 districts of Balochistan.
